I am a staff reporter at the Watertown TAB/Wicked Local Watertown, a community newspaper and website owned by Gatehouse Media and based in Somerville, Massachusetts. I also write weekly articles for Gatehouse Media’s Cambridge Chronicle/Wicked Local Cambridge, the oldest weekly newspaper in the United States. I am a graduate from Boston University, where I received a BS in print journalism and a BA in European history.
I grew up in a university town in southern New Hampshire, and I am a proud New Englander who loves writing about the communities in and surrounding Boston. That being said, I would jump at the chance to live and work in Europe again (especially in London, Paris, Stockholm or St. Petersburg), and to try my hand at international reporting.
My interests include: fiction writing; Victorian Gothic and Russian literature; independent bookstores; the Boston Globe; the New York Times; running; biking; homelessness, education and crime issues; crafts of all kinds; exploring cities on foot; and yes, reading the print edition of the newspaper.
